Holistic Mental Health Programs

The foundation offers a comprehensive range of mental health support services tailored to the unique needs of the children facing disabilities or chronic illness. Through therapy, counselling and support groups, these exceptional children find a safe space to express themselves and develop the resilience needed to navigate life’s challenges. We ensure that mental well – being remains a top priority.

Educational Outreach

We understand the importance of education in shaping the future of these children. Our foundation provides educational resources, mentoring, conducts workshops and awareness campaigns aimed at creating awareness of disabilities, chronic illnesses, breaking stigma surrounding mental health. This results to a more inclusive community.

Recreational Activities

Play and recreation are essential for every child’s development. We organize special events, adaptive sports, creative workshops to promote physical and emotional wellbeing.

Advocacy, Collaboration and Awareness

Susan Kahema Foundation actively advocates for the rights and needs of children with disabilities, children with chronic illnesses and their caregivers. 

We work to raise awareness about children’s and caregivers’ challenges and promote an inclusive society.

The foundation actively collaborates with other organizations, government bodies and stakeholders to advocate for policies and practices that promote mental well-being for these children and their caregivers.

The foundation is dedicated to creating systemic change that benefits these vulnerable populations (children and their caregivers)

Caregiver Support

Caregivers are the unsung heroes behind these children’s strength and resilience. We recognize the dedication of the caregivers who tirelessly support these children.  The foundation offer support to the caregivers through individual and group therapy; mental health assessments; training and workshops; provision of tools and resources to help caregivers navigate their own challenges.

The Diaper Drive

The Diaper Drive initiative addresses the challenge faced by children with disabilities and chronic illnesses who may struggle with comfortable toilet use. The Susan Kahema Foundation actively participates in The Diaper Drive, seeking donations to provide diapers for these children, offering them a dignified and comfortable experience

The Sanitary Towels Drive

We encourage you to donate sanitary towels to help tackle period poverty among children with disabilities and chronic illnesses. Together, we can ensure a dignified menstrual experience for this unique community. This initiative focuses on improving access to menstrual products, education, and hygiene facilities.
